In Geometry Dash Ystep, the player controls a geometric character that always moves forward without colliding with any obstacles to reach the finish line. The level starts with a cube where the player must navigate the character to jump over the platforms arranged with sharp traps. Then move to the ball stage with the same task. Then return to the cube stage and continue with the ball stage.

After moving through the gravity gate in Geometry Dash Ystep, the player is pushed to the train stage. Here the character will fly up and the player is required to navigate the character to fly through the obstacles. Geometry Dash Ystep continues the journey with the ball stage as before. Then return to the initial block stage, pass this stage then the level ends.
